2011 Jeep Wrangler Mojave shows off its lizard

Jeep will officially introduce the latest in the brand's stream of factory-customized machines (Call of Duty: Black Ops Edition, Wrangler Islander and Mountain trims and the upcoming JK-8 pickup truck conversion kit) at the 2011 New York Auto Show today. The 2011 Jeep Wrangler Mojave was designed to pay homage to the legendary Mojave Trail and comes with special interior and exterior additions that set it apart from the rest of the Wrangler family.

The party gets started with a Wrangler Sport and adds a body-colored hard top and fender flares alongside 17-inch wheels wrapped in 32-inch tires. Those rollers are the same kit found on the likes of the Wrangler Rubicon. Unique lizard decals on the hood and a blacked-out fuel door cap off the exterior tweaks.

Jump indoors and you'll find dark leather seats with lizard embroidery. Trust us when we say that it looks better than it sounds. Driftwood accents are littered through the cabin and slush floor mats come standard. The final price tag for this machine sits at $29,195 plus a $750 destination fee. Jantes em 17" pretas, azul claro e logos inspirados no Yeti (não o Skoda) são o que distingue esta edição especial por fora. No interior, podemos encontrar estofos em pele e tecido, apontamentos laranja e um painel de instrumentos revisto.

Os motores disponíveis são um 3.6 V6 com 284cv e 357Nm e um motor 2.8 a diesel que debita 200cv e 410Nm de binário.

The new Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 displayed for its European premiere on the Jeep stand in Frankfurt features an exclusive red exterior color and red leather interior. With the all-new 6.4-liter HEMI V-8 that delivers 470 horsepower SAE (351 kW) and 630 N•m (465 lb-ft) of torque, the best-performing Jeep vehicle ever achieves 0-100 km/h in 4.9 seconds, a top speed of 255 km/h (up to 160 mph) and 100-0 km/h braking within 35m.

The new Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 is also the best-handling Jeep vehicle ever and features advanced new active damping suspension managed by a new Selec-Track system. A new active valve exhaust system allows for standard Fuel Saver Technology to ensure a 13-percent improvement in highway fuel efficiency and 720-km range (more than 445 mi). The 3.6-liter V-6 powertrain improves Jeep Wrangler's on-road driving dynamics and refinement, providing more fuel efficiency, more power and more torque. The new 3.6-liter Pentastar engine delivers 284 horsepower DIN (209 kW) and 347 N•m (256 lb-ft) of torque and is paired with an upgraded five-speed automatic transmission for refined shifting and greater performance. The proven six-speed manual transmission is also available on the new 3.6-liter Pentastar engine.

Cuidado com o Wrangler Jk.. este jipe é muito bonito mas só dá problemas! O modelo até 2010 entrava água, os tubos dos travões batiam nas rodas, o amortecedor de direcção ao fim de 20mil km ia à vida (provocando quase acidentes), entre muitos mais problemas que tem!
O importador/oficinas da jeep são uma nodoa.. parecem amadores a mexerem nos carros!
Há muitas, mas mesmo muitas pessoas insatisfeitas com o jipe e o serviço pós-venda.. :sh)
Antes de comprarem dêm uma volta pelo forum do Jeepzone.. só por ai dá para verem o que vos espera!

Conheço 2 pessoas ambas com Wranglers, um deles até é a versão Rubicon, e o amortecedor de direcção partiu nos 2 mais ou menos à volta desses 20 mil Km que disseste... Deve ser defeito crónico...

É defeito cronico o amortecedor de direcção. A marca assume, mas deviam chamar os modelos afectados e não deixar as pessoas quase terem acidentes por causa de uma falha no amortecedor. No meu caso apanhei um susto do caraças com isso.

Mas estou de acordo. Os modelos com hard top deixam entrar agua e a marca não resolve. O serviço pos venda é uma vergonha, caro e muito pouco profissional.

O recall dos tubos de travão também foi feito mas eles não contactaram os proprietários, tiveram de ser as pessoas a adivinhar que havia problema....

E as reparações que fazem nas oficinas oficiais são uma verdadeira vergonha.. li casos em que as pessoas chegaram e tinham um bocado a menos no carro, mas cavas das rodas! [:vm)]
É ridículo a falta de preocupação que a Jeep Portugal tem com o cliente.. sei que não deve ser um modelo que dê muito lucro, pois compramos é o IVA e o ISV e oferecem o Jeep, mas mesmo assim deviam ter alguma consideração pelo cliente!

Agora com o novo ISV o Wrangler ficou ainda mais caro.. o que por si só dita o fim dos 4x4 em Portugal com mais de 3lugares.
Ou seja, não se pode levar a família a passear.. é simplesmente ridículo o porquê da perseguição aos 4x4, é que até um carro com AWD (mais seguros devido à maior aderência) paga ISV que é um disparate! [8b]

Em fim Portugal no seu melhor..
