Alfa 4c

Eu nem vejo o 4C como concorrente do Cayman, porque o primeiro é muito mais focado como carro de pista. O concorrente "real" seria algo como um Elise/Exige

O Cayman é um carro que pode ser utilizado numa situação tipo:

Jovem casal
Carro da mulher - Volvo XC60
Carro do homem- Porsche Cayman

Only six exterior colors available

Alfa Romeo has launched the online configurator for its brand new 4C two-seater, rear-wheel drive lightweight sports coupe.
Potential customers can play around with the 4C’s online configurator at
http://4c.alfaromeo.com/where there are only six exterior color paint schemes to choose from. Alfa Romeo is offering three wheel designs in sizes ranging from 17 to 19 inches, while the brake calipers can be painted in one of the four colors available.

The 4C can receive either standard halogen or bi-LED headlights with carbon fiber surrounds, along with a body-colored rear spoiler and optional racing double exhaust tailpipes.
As a brief reminder, the Alfa Romeo 4C is powered by a 4-cylinder, 1.75-liter turbocharged engine delivering 240 HP (177 kW) and 350 Nm (258 lb-ft) of torque transferred to the rear wheels through a dual-clutch gearbox. The 895 kg (1,973 lbs) coupe will sprint to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 4.5 seconds before topping out at 160 mph (258 km/h).
Only 3,500 cars will be built each year and 1,000 of them are destined for the European market.

Actualizar regularmente o 4C!!!!!!

AutoEdizione-reader tests Alfa Romeo 4C at Balocco | AutoEdizione.com

Alfa Romeo today had
a few buyers of the 4C Launch Edition from 5 different European countries – among which The Netherlands – enjoy their new purchase on the holy grounds of Balocco. We from AutoEdizione were gladly surprised when it turned out that one of our regular Dutch readers appeared to be among the happy few. Apparently we don’t only attract a crowd who enjoy reading about Italian cars, but also enjoy writing about it. We have the honor of bringing you an exclusive report of what took place at Balocco this afternoon. Enjoy.

“It will be dry today, won’t it?” Was the first thing that crossed my mind when I woke up this morning in what was an into-hotel-transformed villa in Stresa at the Lago Maggiore. It was very early in the morning and the raindrops fell onto my balcony while heavy rain clouds were gathering across the lake over the mountains. Today is the day when I, together with four other clients, will be taking control of my own 4C Launch Edition for the very first time. On the magical circuit of Balocco. Chills go through my spine. A group of Giuliettas MY2014 bring us to the testing grounds, about one hour away from where we spent the night. This journey is not only a blessing, it also gives me the opportunity of examining the lovely interior of the updated Giulietta. Upon arrival, I’m happy to notice that the rain had left the Po-valley much earlier in the morning already.

Driving my 4C (at Balocco) in the rain for the first time in my life would have been nothing short of a tragedy. But what will we experiencing today? Upon arrival at the Auto Delta paddock, it appears that entire schedule has been composed for us. Luis-Carl Vignon, head of Alfa Romeo EMEA, and Alessandro Maccolini, Exterior Chief Designer of Alfa Romeo, give a passionate presentation of how the 4C came to exist and the philosophy behind this gorgeous machine. Their enthusiasm intoxicates me and there’s only one thing crossing my mind; I need to drive this thing! ASAP! But before I get the chance of doing so, another surprise comes my way. Nicola Larini enters the room and not only does he tell about his victories in the DTM with the 155 20 years ago (yes indeed, that’s how long it has been), but also that he’s driven over 200 rounds around Balocco in the 4C. Now I can barely hold myself… Would it be true after all? Has Alfa Romeo developed a supercar for the price card of an E-segment sedan? It really does seem to look that way when I see the tingling in Larini’s eyes. He’s clearly not just enouncing some words he learnt by heart. This is his heart speaking, and his passion for driving.
Then comes the moment we’ve been waiting for; taking the red cover off our own 4C. It was an emotional moment to me. And then I’m eye to eye with this little bomb of Italian temperament. The time of “What would it be like?” is over, “What is it like” is here.

No more than fifteen minutes later I’m doing over 200 km/h (125 mph) around one of the turns on the circuit. The DNA-button was not allowed to stand in Race-mode. The circuit was not entirely dry yet and, even though all these 4C-buyers have a Cuore Sportivo, we’re no Larinis. While the Race-stand disables all electronic aids, the Dynamic-stands still lets the 4C guard over the safety of the car and its passengers. A drift of about 30 degrees is still possible, but then it intervenes. I’ve driven around Balocco before and this is therefore not new to me. But still I need the first round to bring back those memories. The corners spring back to mind and the breaking points I start to remember as well, though the latter are of less importance here. The 4C’s braking power is immense. So immense, even, that I notice I’m nearly understeering when entering a corner because of all the self-confidence I’ve built up. But it’s only a hint. The car remains very neutral and, by playing with its mass a bit, understeer happens very soon in short corners.

And then there’s the power output. I’m not used to these relatively short gears (normal for a turbo engine but not for a naturally aspirated one which goes on to 7 or 8 thousand reves), but it rarely or never makes me feel unsettled. There’s always a lot of power, no matter what number the rev counter is pointing at. At first the car feels a bit cramped due to my Dutch length, but it gets through to me after a few minutes. This is a tailor-made suit in which brakes, throttle and steering wheel constantly give me perfect feedback. The TCT-‘box is blindingly fast. Pulling a paddle means shifting gear. Not only the handling is sublime, so is the acceleration. We get to try out the Launch Control. Though I’m 43 years old, I feel like a child with a grin across my face. This car is brilliant and a simple must for every Alfist. To make the day completely, Nicola Larini takes over the steering wheel and takes the 4C to the limit. He does what I indeed thought was possible with this car, but didn’t have the guts (nor talent) to do so. The limits of this car are so high. Grip is phenomenal, as is the balance in short and consecutive turns. We drift through a few corners and nearly reach V-Max on the straight. What an amazing toy!

And still there’s more good news coming. Fabrizio Corigliano of Alfa Romeo’s marketing department tells us there’s a 4C-club in the making which every 4C-owner can be a part of. This gives us the chance of improving our driving capacities on circuit and exchange 4C-experiences with other owners. This day was the perfect beginning of my new ownership. The 4C is a special experience. It won’t suit everyone, but it will those who enjoy truly driving and controlling a car. It will suit the true Alfists.
My thanks goes out to the team of Alfa Romeo Netherlands who made my participation to this unforgettable day possible.

"O novo desportivo da Alfa Romeo registou um tempo equivalente a modelos mais potentes, como o Audi R8 e o Porsche Cayman. Com 8 min. e 4 seg., esta é a melhor volta ao circuito de Nordschleife, na Alemanha, para um modelo abaixo de 250cv de potência. O autor foi o piloto Horst von Saurma."
