Os farolins frontais aparentam algumas semelhanças com os do Auris.. Pelo menos, os piscas na parte mais interior estão lá..

É tão feio! Eia, lá está a Toyota a estragar tudo outra vez! Pschiii, aquilo desde o Celica de 1955 nunca mais foi o mesmo! Não pode ser, aqueles botões da consola central estão a cair! Não, os piscas são os mesmos da Lexus! Ei, mais um mono que não vai vender!

Eu lembro-me de ter visto uma frente semelhante no primeiro concept (lindíssimo por sinal) do Auris.. Provavelmente, este até seria o concept da wagon. No entanto, eu estava à procura de mais imagens da nova Avensis e encontrei estas num fórum estrangeiro. [

"Just a few days a go we showed you the first shots of the Toyota avensisn wagon.now the sedan version has come out in the open and our spies were ready with these first spy photos.
The Avensis has been on the market since 2003 with a facelift in 2006 and from these shots we can see development of the all new model is well underway.
Exterior details are hard to define due to the heavy camouflage, but interior wise there are rumours there will be an Auris inspired raised gear-lever, and the Japanese manufacturer are said to be working on a new diesel hybrid engine,
The New Avensis will be launched in 2009 with the Geneva Motor Show that same year a likely debut date."
